Troll Bar - Thema des Monats August

Troll Bar-Theme of the Month August

In August, a new diorama on the subject of "Troll Bar" will be created piece by piece and I (Katrin) will document the individual steps here.

Maybe you will see a miniature in the course that has not yet made it into the shop, just be patient because every Friday new items HERE! Show up at the shop.

Well then let's get into the new troll adventure.........

All beginnings are always PC time..... Design cut and print files and prepare them for the machines. Drölfmal kontroll.... sleeping over it..... check again and fix errors.... find out that it doesn't fit and start all over again....... it's not bad at all and it's a normal creative process, but it's also a test of my patience until it can finally be cut and assembled for the first time.

What is new this time and will continue to play a role in the future is the AI (artificial intelligence) that created this great bar sign for me. For those who haven't heard of it yet: you can now turn words into art - totally great, a bit spooky and above all free of copyrights. If you order the kit later, the prints will be included, but if you want to design your own trollbar, you can download the signs to print yourself here.

Right-click on the image and then "Save image as"

The first small detail is ready:

In my troll bar, there are supposed to be a lot of magical details. That's why these little treasures will soon be available as a kit. I've finished painting five monster chests and you can find four of them in the shop from the 15th.

The first model of the troll bar is cut with the laser from 3mm finnboard and is now waiting to be painted.

The next small details are ready. The bottles are from the 3D printer. They are covered with tiny wine labels and the cork is painted. Since there are a lot of them to be found in such a bar, it felt like DRILL JONEN covered it, but it is estimated that there are a maximum of 120 pieces.

These little kegs (with whiskey or whatever trolls drink) are currently in print. In the shop they will later be painted and unpainted (on the 15th).

First the barrels got a primer in a very light yellowish brown, then a very watery overline with a very dark brown and finally I set off the details with metal colors.

The roombox is not yet in place but the bar, the counter and stool are already ready. I glued mirrors to the back so that the drinks later look numerous.

Which troll is behind the counter? The employee of the month ........

For this I used the AI again to generate photos of trolls sitting in bars from my words.

Simple barrels in a magical bar are not enough for me, so the monster box brought a couple of barrel buddies.

They will only be available in limited numbers (on 15th) in the shop, grab them quickly or write to me if you would like to reserve them.

My Troll Bar is in a village by the sea, so a suitable pet should not be missing. But now enough with the barrels, now it is served...

I'm now fully in the Brew-Bussines that's why I "filled" a few more bottles

. ... And asked me about the most stupid thousandth: Whether I rob anyone of the fun here and prefer to offer the printed blanks in the shop. What about your creative co-hobbyists? Vote in the comments please:

A) Do you better, that's too fiddly for me!

B) Oh, I would like to!

C) Depends on the price!

After I had already pasted the floor with wood, I fell on it that I would like a rustic stone floor better ..... everything off again and egg cardboard stones cut and glued on.

And then painted in different shades of gray.

For the wood paneling on the walls, I cut and painted wooden spatulas to match. Now the box can almost be assembled ...... as soon as I have a plan for the lighting.

Lighting plan stands! These little lanterns will be printed tomorrow!

I can finally put it to the test. I admit that a very slim troll should work behind the counter but I needed the space.

And already the first lantern is installed. I drilled a hole in the counter and threaded the end of an LED chain of lights.

Then I continued the chain of light to the ceiling lamp. I hid the thin cable behind the beam and fixed it with painter's paper. As luck would have it, there is an LED behind the bar at the level of the "Employee of the Month" that now illuminates his picture well.

On the left in the picture you can see a bit of the bar, which I 've almost completely set up.

A cozy twilight is supposed to light up the bar, but only two lamps were too dark for me. A third lantern is now hanging on the left and a few LEDs are distributed at the front of the edge that will later disappear behind the front.

The floor for the attic is already stuck to the roof of the box and there is now also a rough decoration plan. In case anyone was wondering, "what does the bed do in the troll department?" It should stand here and be a detail in a haunted guest room.

In between I still make details, these mini bottles with hard liquor still have to be put on the shelf. Since I also find the small labels a bit "stubborn" I tried a new material here. This time the labels are printed on a water foil (they are also known as a tattoo film). The cut-out labels are placed on the bottles and softened with a wet cloth. When the carrier paper is pushed off, the bottle is already labeled. I will never want to do it differently now and am already thinking about how I can offer it for other labels.

LG an alle!
