Disturbed order
Disturbed order
The artwork "Tondo: Disturbed Order" is an impressive 50 cm installation that immerses the viewer in a surrealist representation of the human brain. Painted in gold, the work shows an abstract interpretation of a brain filled with miniature boxes, old crates and drawers. These elements symbolize memories, thought fragments and subconscious processes that are anchored in the structure of the brain.
Particularly striking are the wires that protrude from the boxes and lead to small, wing-like shapes that are reminiscent of bats or flying eyes. These surreal elements embody the chaotic nature of the mind, where information and memories often fly around in a disorganized manner. The boxes and drawers are filled with fragments that tell of times gone by, while the flying elements symbolize the uncontrollable thoughts that arise in unpredictable moments.
"Tondo: Disturbed Order" plays with the idea of the human mind as an archive in which nothing is really lost, but much is inaccessible or disorganized. The installation raises questions about the structure and function of our memory and invites us to reflect on the complex, often chaotic nature of our mental processes. It is a visually powerful work that depicts the interplay of order and disorder in human thought and memory, offering a fascinating insight into the depths of the subconscious.
